A Message from the Head of School
I am excited to see how God will continue to work among our students, parents, faculty, and staff during the 2022-23 school year. Over the past two and a half years, our faculty and staff have continued to provide an excellent, in-person, Christ-centered education to our students through this difficult pandemic.
Over our 26-year history, we certainly have changed in many areas. We have added buildings, faculty and staff, various programs, and more students. In 1996, we began with 96 students in grades K – 3. Today, we have over 820 students in preschool through 12th grade with over 950 graduates. God has truly blessed our High Point Christian Academy (HPCA) school community! With these changes, however, one thing that has remained constant is our mission statement: HPCA is committed to Christ-centered, quality education and academic excellence in partnership with family and church within a loving, caring atmosphere.
We practically try to live out this mission by making three commitments to our families and students:
We are committed to the family. The size of our school and the size of our classes allow each student to feel part of the HPCA family. In addition to our intentionally small size, we also strive to partner with our parents on a regular basis. We understand that the education of the student is the parents’ responsibility, but we are blessed to have an outstanding group of professionals at HPCA that lead our students each day.
We are committed to academic excellence and a quality education. This is the foundation of our program. Again, we have excellent, certified teachers that lead our students each and every day. Our most recent 68 graduates, the Class of 2022, were awarded close to $5 million in college scholarships. Our graduates attend colleges and universities in various places, including Duke University, Wake Forest University, UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State, NC A & T State University, University of Alabama, University of South Carolina, High Point University, Anderson University, Gardner-Webb University, Liberty University, North Greenville University, and Union University, just to name a few.
Lastly, but most importantly, we are committed to teaching our students in a Christ-centered environment. We view the Bible as God’s Holy Word. In every aspect of school life, it is our sincere desire to point students to Christ. We offer Bible classes, worship opportunities in age-appropriate chapel services, but also teach each subject through the lens of Scripture. It is our sincere desire to lead students to Christ, build them up in Christ, and equip them to serve Christ.
Thank you for visiting our website. We hope that it is helpful in showing you who we are and what we are all about at HPCA.
