Longtime Preschool Teachers Retire
HPCA Preschool is proud to recognize two retiring teachers, Mrs. Debbie Fox and Mrs. Robin Weisner.
Mrs. Fox has been in our program for 20 years teaching the 4-year-olds. She began teaching when her oldest daughter entered Kindergarten at the Academy. In addition to teaching at the preschool, she has been the Academy’s Afterschool Director for grades K-6 for the ten years. She has two daughters, Julie and Lauren, and each graduated from the Academy.
Mrs. Fox said she will miss all the “firsts” she has experienced with students over the years: writing their name without help, crossing the monkey bars on the playground, learning each Bible verse, etc. Her most memorable times are the 4-year-olds singing in the Elementary Christmas program.
She has brought much valuable knowledge to our preschool program over the years and is willing to go above and beyond to help her students achieve their goals. She has had high expectations of her students and they have delivered. Mrs. Fox you will be missed.
Mrs. Weisner has been in our program for 17 years. She has taught 2-year-olds, worked as a lead teacher in 3-year-olds, and then moved to a lead in our 4-year-old program. She began teaching when her older children began school at the Academy.
As she began teaching, Mrs. Weisner realized how much she loved her preschoolers. She is blessed when the student’s eyes light up when they understand the concepts she is teaching. She loves it when they learn about Jesus, memorize their Bible verse and then share the gospel with their parents. She will miss the “I love you’s”, hugs and kisses from the students.
We will miss the gentle spirit and loving nature she has extended to our students. She has a big heart when it comes to loving her class. She, too, has shared valuable help and knowledge about the program through the years. Mrs. Weisner you will be missed.
