Teacher Assistants
Kindergarten, Mrs. Cashwell; and 1st Grade, Mrs. Newell
I am Teresa Weaver. I have worked at HPCA as a kindergarten assistant for 14 years. My husband is Terry and we have 2 daughters. Courtney lives in Durham and is a retail store manager. Casey is a student at UNC-G. I have a grandson, Caiden, who is 2 years old. I like to cook and love to walk! I enjoy going to the mountains and the beach.
Kindergarten, Mrs. Segers
Hi, my name is BJ Hight. I have been serving as a Kindergarten Assistant here at HPCA since 1996. That was the year our school began, so I always say I've been here since "dirt." The building we are in now did not even exist when I came. It has been exciting watching our school grow. I enjoy working with the Kindergarten age because they are so eager to learn, not only in academics, but in their spiritual lives as well. I am married to Randy and we have one daughter, Lauren, who is an HPCA graduate. My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." My hobbies are anything that involve crafts, walking, and talking with friends. If you are looking for a Christ-centered environment for your child, let me encourage you to come to HPCA!

Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades
Hello. My name is Sherrie White and I am the assistant teacher to 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. This year is my tenth year with the academy. I have multiple teachers and lots of students to help take care of, so my days are busy, busy. I am married to a terrific guy (Doug) and we have two sons. Konner just completed his second year as a college student at NC State. (Go Pack!) He loves college life. He is actively involved with Campus Crusade as a keyboardist. Kolton is a senior here at HPCA. He plays both school and club soccer, is on the academy’s track team, involved with the drama team and enjoys video games and his friends. WHEW… we stay busy! I enjoy my work at the academy often lending a helping hand to the music department as well. I am involved with music, drama and youth at GSBC. Reading, drinking coffee with friends, going to the beach and being with my family are some of my favorite things. My prayer is that you be abundantly blessed as we serve together.
