Community Service

At the heart of our mission is a desire to see students come to know Christ, to see students grow in Christ, and to see students equipped to serve Christ (Mark 10:45). Our aim is for students not only to be hearers of the Word but also those who act, putting their faith into action (James 1:22-25). We believe service benefits the one being served, the one serving, and ultimately it brings glory to God. A variety of opportunities to serve those in our community are available to students. Throughout the year, we will promote other service opportunities as they come up through morning announcements and through Student Life social media.

The following are ongoing community service opportunities:

Breakfast Buddies
Breakfast Buddies is an opportunity to serve elementary students at Northwood Elementary School (818 W. Lexington Avenue). This involves weekly time getting to know and encourage students during breakfast. Breakfast Buddies occurs every Wednesday from 7:30-8:00am during the school year. Student volunteers must complete a volunteer application that they can pick up from Mrs. Curlee.
