Summer 2011 Math Camp Newsletter
Math Club is for 5th graders who love math. The goal of the Math Club is to challenge students to use higher level thinking skills to solve challenging problems. At our first meeting, students participated in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activity. Members worked in groups to design a structure of dominoes that would have the fastest fall rate. Our next project is going to be to design and create a 3-D model of a city. We are having a wonderful time delving deeper into mathematics using our God-given talents.
