Steve Lechner

·        played high school football in Saugerties, New York.

·        played college football at Boston University.

·        served as a public/media relations professional with the then-Los Angeles Raiders in the early 1990s. 

·        was an integral part of starting two football programs in the state of Maine during the past decade, and helped to rebuild one of Maine’s most accomplished programs. 

·        served as a head coach, offensive coordinator, special teams coordinator, and has coached nearly every position. 

·        undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri, master’s degree in mass communication from Drake University in Iowa, and graduated from the University of Maine School of Law summa cum laude in 1999.  

·        transitioned from practicing law to teaching, and will be serving as a high school social studies teacher at HPCA this fall. 

·        family includes Jennifer, his wife of twelve years, Grace, his seven-year old daughter, and Abera, his two-year old son.
