Parents and Student-Athletes,
We have begun another exciting year at the Academy and we are looking forward to another year of growth in the Athletic Program. This year we will field 30 athletic teams in 11 different sports. This is a great time to be a part of establishing excellent programs for God here at HPCA.
As in the past, our objective in the Athletic Program at the Academy is to honor God through athletic competition. We will encourage all students/athletes to do their very best, but most importantly to do it “heartily as unto God and not unto man”. (Col 3:17, 23)
As we go through this year together, please be in prayer for our coaches as they will be in prayer for your son/daughter. I trust that through athletics this year, our student-athletes will be given many opportunities to grow. They will experience working together as a team for a common goal, being unselfish and dying to self, learning how to overcome obstacles and being determined till the end. It is our prayer that they take advantage of these opportunities.
I am thankful to work with an administration that is supportive of athletics and understands how athletics can be a vital part of one's total education experience.
I ask for your support and prayer this year as we strive towards excellence in all we do.
